UNBProbe
Spring-Loaded Needle Probe
UNBProbe is a passive, spring-loaded needle probe designed for PCB diagnostics.
The detachable spring-loaded needle permits interchangeability of probe tips.
The PCB incorporates two solder jumpers and pads for two 0402 surface-mount components positioned adjacent to the probe tip.
A header facilitates connection of jumper wires and an SMA connector provides interfacing with peripherals.
v0.2 Features
- Optimized via fence: Redesigned via placement and geometry enhance signal integrity by mitigating crosstalk and reducing parasitic inductance.
- Curved trace routing: Smooth, arced trace paths diminish abrupt impedance transitions, resulting in lower reflection coefficients and more predictable high frequency behavior.
- Manufacturer-compliant SMA footprint: The SMA connector pad layout adheres precisely to the vendor's mechanical and electrical specifications, ensuring reliable mating and consistent performance.
